The Knitter is a handmade knitwear brand founded by New Zealand-based Nicole Leybourne. The knits are designed and made in New Zealand and Peru with a mission of supporting small communities, maintaining ethical labour practices and a sustainable lifestyle. Created from yarns sourced from local, family farms, where mulesing is not practiced, using low impact dyes, each garment is knitted in loving homes, as opposed to overcrowded factories, implementing century-old techniques.
